Sahil Sury
Securities Trader
My name is Sahil Sury, and I am the Securities Trader at Telarray. I joined the firm in 2018 after completing my bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Memphis. I grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, but have made Memphis my home since moving to the US.
As trader, my duties include investing and raising cash for clients, implementing investment strategies, and rebalancing portfolios. I am also involved in team discussions, where we evaluate the impact of economic developments and review various investment products. This experience has been invaluable in expanding my knowledge of the industry and growing my skills in this field. I am currently studying for the CFA Level II exam, which will improve my portfolio management and analytical skills.
The COVID-19 outbreak forced our trading team to adjust certain procedures and move our operations out of the office. However, the systems we had in place allowed us to make a smooth transition to working remotely. The team continues to monitor market conditions and coordinate with each other to work through these tough times.
