Mike Cochran
Vice President of Technology
My name is Mike Cochran, and I am the Vice President of Technology here at Telarray. I joined Telarray in late 2013 after having worked as a software developer and product manager. As a Memphis native, I grew up in Midtown just blocks away from the Memphis Zoo and currently live in East Memphis, a stone’s throw away from Memphis staples like Gibson’s Donuts and Houston’s.
Daily, my primary focus is on ensuring the security of our technology and data while offering support to our team and making sure we can keep running while working remotely during this crisis. I’ve made it my mission to ensure that our team can continue to work for you securely regardless of their location or the circumstances of our physical office. Beyond planning for business continuity, I also work to incorporate new technologies into our operations to improve our efficiency and the client experience, including electronic document signing for some documents and the use of Microsoft Teams, which has given us new collaborative capabilities to help accelerate our internal processes.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a huge test of the resiliency and redundancy of our technology. From our shift to high-security cloud-based document management to our internet based phone system, our systems have shined during the pandemic and allowed us to quickly and easily transition from working on-site in our offices to working remotely from home to serve you.
In addition to my work at Telarray, I serve multiple nonprofits around Memphis. As a member of the advisory board of the Memphis Technology Foundation, I work to help raise the tech tide in Memphis by connecting developers and technology professionals. I am also on the board of AIGA Memphis, the Memphis chapter of the national organization for design professionals, where I similarly work to connect designers in the community and bring speakers to Memphis. Additionally, I am an organizer of GiveCamp Memphis, where I work with both the Memphis Technology Foundation and AIGA Memphis to host an annual 48-hour event that provides free marketing and technology solutions for local nonprofits.
