Amy Alexander
Controller and Assistant Compliance Officer
My name is Amy Alexander, and I am the Controller/Assistant Compliance Officer at Telarray. I joined the firm in 2007 after working as a tax accountant for Financial Strategy Group, our founders’ original company.
As Controller, I ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions, manage the accuracy of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, and payroll as well as prepare and issue timely monthly financial statements. In the other part of my job, I assist Richard Paessler, our Chief Compliance Officer, in developing, implementing, and evaluating the compliance program. I also help him update and revise the program in response to the changing needs of the organization, laws, and government policies.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Memphis in 1996 and went on to successfully complete the Uniform CPA Examination. I am a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. I moved to Memphis from Humboldt, Tennessee, to attend college and stayed to make it my home.
The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way many of us work. Our offices have shifted to our homes, and our business continuity plans are being stress-tested like never before. Over the past few years, Telarray has invested in the technology that allows us to run our business and service you from almost anywhere, which means my job has continued seamlessly.
The biggest challenge for me during this time has been not seeing my co-workers every day. I’m proud to be part of the back-office team, and I’m grateful to be a part of such an amazing organization that helps you with your financial needs.
