Cliff Paessler

CPA, PFS
Founder

Cliff Paessler had a long career in finance and real estate, including time at Ernst & Young, National Bank of Commerce and McGehee Realty and Development, before he met M. Andrew (Andy) Shaul and became a partner with him in an accounting firm in 1993 – Dunavant, Dickey, Paessler & Shaul. He and Shaul founded Financial Strategy Group in 1999 to provide comprehensive financial planning services. In 2005 FSG Investment Management was formed, later to be known as Telarray, where he serves as Chief Manager.

Paessler earned a BS in accounting from what was then Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) and is a CPA. He serves as Lake Chairman and Treasurer of Menasha Hunting and Fishing Club, and enjoys bird hunting, fishing, stained glass work and making fishing lures.

M. Andrew Shaul

Founder

Andy Shaul began his career in financial planning at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1986, where he specialized in estate and tax planning for individuals. He earned an early promotion to Manager, and to this day, many of his clients have been clients since that time. He left Andersen in 1993 to work with Cliff Paessler at the accounting firm of Dunavant, Dickey, Paessler & Shaul. He and Paessler founded Financial Strategy Group in 1999 to provide comprehensive financial planning services.

Shaul graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in business, and holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Memphis. He is both a CPA and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).

Rob Dingler

CPA, PFS
Advisor

Rob Dingler has nearly 30 years of experience in investment management, financial planning, accounting and auditing. He is a CPA and is licensed as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).

He joined Telarray (then FSG Financial Management) in 2005 and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee. He has been named multiple times as one of Memphis Magazine’s 5-Star Wealth Managers and has spoken at national conferences for registered investment advisors.

He earned an undergraduate degree from Harding University in Business Administration in Marketing and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Memphis.

He has developed a seminar on investing based on Biblical principles and regularly volunteers to counsel families and individuals about financial planning. Dingler is a board member of the Midsouth Greyhound Adoption Option.

Owen Keith

Advisor

Owen Keith joined Telarray in 2010. He is a Member and Senior Advisor with the firm. He also sits on Telarray’s Executive Investment Committee. His industry experience began 23 years ago as an advisor at Prudential Securities.

He earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business from the University of Memphis and served as past Treasurer and board member for the Highland Hundred, the booster organization for University of Memphis football. A Memphis native, Owen has volunteered for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl for more than 20 years and serves on the bowl’s Board of Directors.

He and his wife Amy have three children: William, Nicholas, and Emily.

Michael C. Shaul

Advisor

Michael Shaul joined Telarray in 2015 as a client reporting representative, and has continued to build his skills, passing the Series 65 exam the next year. He transitioned to his current role as an advisor in 2016.

Shaul graduated from the University of Memphis with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, where he studied accounting and minored in finance.

Katie Stephenson

Advisor

Katie Stephenson began her career as a financial advisor after receiving a law degree from the University of Memphis, and is both a member of the Tennessee State Bar and has earned her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credential.

She joined Telarray in 2013, and specializes in collaborating with her clients to develop customized investment portfolios that are responsive to a client’s specific needs.

She has both an undergraduate degree in Communications and an MBA from Mississippi State University. Her community involvement has included work with organizations from Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital to the Junior League.

Brandy Wagner

Client Services

Brandy Wagner joined Telarray in 2007. She has excelled in taking care of clients, implementing procedures for client services and proving herself a leader in the organization. This led to her current role as the Client Services Director.

Brandy is currently attending the University of Memphis, where she is working on her BBA in Management. She enjoys the outdoors, travel, biking and spending time with her family.

A.J. Kratz

Portfolio Management

A.J. Kratz began his career as a loan officer for various mortgage lenders and banks, then transitioned into accounting, eventually producing sophisticated analysis of economic trends and investment options, which is what he does in his current role at Telarray. He joined the firm in 2012, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Kratz graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Economics, and when he’s not working, he enjoys golf, scuba diving and coaching Little League baseball.

Melinda Gunn

CPA
VP, Client Reporting

Melinda Gunn has worked for the founders of what is now Telarray for more than 20 years, serving the company first as an accountant, and becoming Controller in 2005. Her deep experience in accounting and database oversight makes an ideal fit as Vice President, Client Reporting. She holds her CPA.

Gunn graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in accounting, and when she’s not making Telarray run more smoothly, she is spending time with her family, church and community.

Richard Paessler

President & CCO

Richard Paessler became President of Telarray in 2017, after joining the firm five years earlier as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.

As President, Paessler has focused on continually improving client service and building recognition for the firm. As Chief Compliance Officer, he has focused on SEC compliance and launched strategic initiatives to institutionalize and streamline internal systems and processes.

Making complex systems work better comes naturally to Paessler, who graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a BS in Aviation Maintenance Management. He launched his career in Memphis with Pinnacle Airlines, where he was involved in life-cycle system analysis, systems design and engineering, human factors/damage investigations, and managed the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance of Systems program. The training and experience he gained during this period included extensive coordination with federal regulators.

Paessler earned an MBA from the University of Memphis and is dedicated to the outdoors.
