How did you get into financial planning and investing?

I have always worked in a service capacity. In 2007, when my son went to school, I was hired as a temp during tax season to organize and scan tax documents at what was then known as Financial Strategy Group. My seasonal job turned into a permanent position at Telarray, where I learned everything about client service from the ground up. The more I learned, the more interested I became in finance and the service aspect of my job.
What is your greatest career success?
My greatest career success is becoming the director of client services at Telarray and becoming an employee-owner of the firm. Over the years, as we have grown, I have taken great pride in helping our team’s newest members learn how we do business. As an owner at Telarray, I am invested in our growth and the quality of service that we offer our clients.
What has been the most significant learning experience in your career?
Learning to be the leader of my team has been significant for me, but I am still learning new things even after 14 years. I feel like you never stop learning, and if you do, it’s time to retire.
When people you have worked with talk about you, what do they say?
I think that people would say that I am very dedicated to our clients and, above all, I value their trust in Telarray and the services that we offer them. I think people say that I am committed to our clients’ success, our firm, and its people, and I will do whatever it takes to make things happen for all of them.
