How did you get into financial planning and investing?

Before COVID, I was a process and compliance intern at Hilton. When the travel industry took a massive hit at the beginning of At the University of Memphis, I knew that I was good at math, and courses like statistics and a class in the stock market grabbed my attention. When I graduated in 2015, I was hired as a Client Services Specialist. Over the years working with Telarray, I got a better understanding of financial planning and investing by working with the Advisors and our trading department on different cases for clients. My work has also helped me better plan my own financial future.
What is your greatest career success?
I am proud that I have improved my skills and gained more responsibility by working closely with the Advisors, engaging more with clients, and prepping the Observatory meetings.
What has been the most significant learning experience in your career?
Learning how to do all of the daily tasks for my role at Telarray entirely remotely was probably the most significant learning experience that I have had. When I worked from home during my last internship, I encountered many more communication During the pandemic, working from home was a challenge for me. That experience has enhanced my multi-tasking skills and shown me that communication between each department is vital to operate successfully in any situation. I learned that I could adapt to different work environments and operate more independently as well.
When people you have worked with talk about you, what do they say?
I hope they would say that I am a quick and eager learner. I am thankful to have coworkers that are more than willing to teach me anything and everything that II hope people say that I am reliable and that they enjoy working with me. I try to bring good energy to the office. I believe I am someone you can count on to handle the job smoothly and provide outstanding service to clients with a smile.
